How to find EDH decks from cards you own

Start with your actual collection

Commander, also called EDH, is a singleton format built around a commander, with exceptions such as basic lands. Import your owned cards from ManaBox CSV or paste a card list into My collection. A match is only as useful as the collection you provide, so leave out cards you are merely planning to buy.

Choose a commander and bracket

Type a commander name and select a suggestion. The stars button can choose an eligible commander from your collection. Keep bracket set to Any for a broader search, or choose a bracket to narrow the retrieved decks. A deck’s listed bracket is a search filter, not an independent power-level assessment.

Compare coverage, then inspect the deck

NextDeck compares up to ten retrieved complete lists with 100 cards including commanders. Start with the closest collection match, then inspect the missing cards and strategy. Owning most of a deck does not necessarily mean you own its key combo or synergy pieces. The search is a sample of public Archidekt decks, not an exhaustive search of every list.

Example: use the missing and potential tabs

Suppose you own most of a deck but are missing a removal spell. The Missing tab shows what remains to obtain. The Potential tab may show a removal spell you already own that appears in three of the nine other compared decks with that commander. That is a candidate to evaluate, not an automatic one-for-one replacement.

Keep basic lands and prices in perspective

Basic lands are excluded from matching by default; turn them on if their quantities matter to your comparison. EUR prices are estimates, may use another released printing and can be unavailable. Check actual availability and prices before buying.

Export the cards you need

Select Missing and use Copy cards or CSV export for a simple list, with one distinct card per entry in the form “1 Sol Ring”. Owned, All and Potential export their respective lists. Exports intentionally contain one copy per distinct card, so adjust basic-land quantities in your destination deck builder. You can also send missing cards to ProxyPrnt for personal playtesting.
